Positives: Show more Negatives: Worst than horrible costumer service Comments: Our Unit was missing 3 tiles at the base of the staircase and the dishwasher was not working at all. These items were listed int the PDI. E-mails, calls, sending photos, and begging has gotten us nowhere so far. Now there are mice coming through the base of the staircase where the tiles are missing, and you would think someone would have gotten back to us by now but you'd be wrong! I strongly recommend to scratch this builder from your list solely based on their horrible workmanship and even worst costumer service. PS. I wish this site would allow you to upload pictures. I have some really good one!!! :( Show less

Positives: N/A Show more Negatives: Horrible builber Comments: just closed a home in the Beaconhill development. Home was rushed in order to make closing date. Drywall work and interior finishes are TERRIBLE as a result. Exterior finishes as of now are none existent, no garage doors, no soffit, no fascia, no eaves trough. Customer service is atrocious.....they refer every concern to a clause that excludes them from everything in the multi page document you sign on purchase. If you order upgrades/options and for what ever reason they don't get installed.....Builders solution is to give your $ back and wash their hands of it. You are also forced into a multi year rental contract for your water heater....otherwise you have to pay the builder a fee of $5000.00 to install your own water heater. That is plain old robbery!! My recommendation is to avoid this builder altogether. However if you insist on purchasing a home from them.....read every word, every clause and sub clause of the agreement you sign, no matter how fine the print, but yeah sav Show less

Show more Negatives: Poor workmanship and quality, cracked garage floor within a month and poor attention to detail Comments: This builder is out only for themselves in that they will not do anything for the home owner unless it is convenient to them. My experience with the home and layout itself are great thus far, but the builder has been terrible, it takes them forever to get anything done. I moved into my home without the garage being completed and it took them 4 months to get the electrical out to the garage, and this was after the ground was thawed; it seemed to me that they only put in electrical once they saw potential buyers for the units to either side of me (I bought a townhouse style home with attached homes and garages, but garages are detached), so when it was convenient or beneficial to them. Within the house and garage there were numerous flaws that just showed no regard for detail, like unsanded mud and tape lines showing within the house. I would not recommend this builder if you have a choice, but if you are set on one of their homes be sure all exterior aspects of the home are complete. Show less

They are not on site. Comments: Building is designed very well and the materials used are quality. Location is one of the best in Etobicoke. Between Kipling and islington stations. Steps to bloor. Recently built low rise located beside park. Show less

Positives: Great initial sales experience, great initial after sales service Show more Negatives: Poor communication, poor warranty service, lack of concern for homeowners comfort and safety, design and bottom line seems to be their primary concern Comments: After purchasing a spec home from Averton, we went through a 16 month period where repairs from the initial walkthrough were not taken care of. Structural squeaks and creaks were not remedied and the replacement of carpet damaged by trades during attempted repair we were told was cost prohibitive. This builder has good intentions but a very poor follow through. The inability to keep staff and extremely poor communication with the ones that stay are their biggest hindrances. Design is everything; customer service is not. Show less
