Best travel rewards credit card in Canada?

I have a CIBC Aeroplan credit card but as Aeroplan has begun charging ridiculously high 'Fuel Surcharges' on flight redemptions that cost nearly as much as the flights themselves I'd like to find a new points card.

Aeroplan is the worst.

I have the TD Infinite First Class Visa and it's awesome. A friend of mine does risk analysis on credit cards for a major bank and he tells me that the CIBC Aventura card is the top dog of credit cards offered by banks.

Some American Express cards are really good but a lot of vendors in Toronto don't take them.

I have RBC's infinite Avion Card, and I haven't had any problems with it. I've never redeemed my points for flights yet but I've only heard of good things (might be biased since I used to work at RBC)
