Located in the Potrero Hill district of San Francisco, 88 Arkansas is a mixed-used community that will enhance and reflect the neighborhood of low-rise commercial, light industrial and residential buildings.
To achieve a contemporary design that limited the number of architectural materials, a desire expressed by our client, BAR’s design intent is to meld international style rigor with the industrial character of the neighborhood. Facades are composed of channel glass, sliding glass walls, corten steel and concrete. BAR’s design also takes full advantage of the adjacent Jackson Park by creating indoor/outdoor living spaces and views that connect residents to the neighborhood park.
Targeted to achieve LEED Platinum certification, this new 5-story, mixed-use project will provide 127 dwelling units – 20% of which will be below market rate – and neighborhood-serving retail. Residential amenities include a fitness center, bike room, outdoor courtyard, roof garden and dog area on the roof. The parking garage includes standard spaces as well as car stackers.
