3579 Quadra envisions the retention of an existing heritage registered dwelling, Highfield Residence, with the rehabilitation of seven contained market rental suites that are beyond their current operating life. In addition, 11 new traditionally detailed townhomes are proposed. Collectively, these new homes will provide a diverse housing stock that will support young working professionals and families, as well as downsizers seeking attainable housing in the neighbourhood.
This project will greatly enhance the streetscape, allowing for new sidewalks, landscaped boulevards and potentially new cycling infrastructure. Ground-oriented private entrances along Quadra Street are enhanced with three new trees, layered landscape plantings, walkways and gates which create a sense of privacy for residents, while also activating the pedestrian realm and supporting the vibrancy of the Quadra Street corridor.
Situated between two major neighbourhood centres, residents of this project will enjoy a diverse range of amenities for future homeowners to live, work, and play within the Quadra local area.
