Architecturally significant buildings in TO

What do you think are the most architecturally significant buildings recently launched or soon to be launched in Toronto? And not just the exterior but also interior features as well.

I'm just curious because it would be something important to me as a buyer, and, apparently, I'm not alone! A RateHub Tweep and mortgage lady for women, Marcy Berg, just said a lot of her clients ask about this as well.

Thoughts?

I am not an architect, and know nothing about architecture. But, visually, my list is below.
LARGE CONDOS:
The entire River City project is stunning, and it pulls in the eastern part of Toronto. I give this project an A+.
Exhibit will be cool when built.
INFILL PROJECTS:
Howard Park is really unique, and is interesting in design.

Much like @Marco, I am not an architect. That said, I know what I like!
I totally agree with all the mentioned, but I would like to add:
FLAIRE CONDOS ---> http://www.buzzbuzzhome.com/flaire-condos
I love Flaire Condos. It is just really cool, and brings coolness to Don Mills.

How about Freed's Fashion House and Thompson Residences? Soon to be fixtures on King St. West.
What about some finished projects?

I think the King and Bathurst area could be THE place to be very soon.
For existing architecture, I personally like the Candy Factory building - great both day and night.
For renderings I like Picasso and King Charlotte.

I'm a massive fan of Urbancorp's three phase Neighbourhoods of Queen St East project: Riverdale, Leslieville and The Beach. Unfortunately the Riverside neighbourhood association (who seem to have high level influence) have convinced Urbancorp to abandon the contemporary design and incorporate peaked roofs on their Riverdale project but the other two remain the same. http://www.buzzbuzzhome.com/the-neighbourhoods-of-riverdale

The way I answer this question is which buildings are going to impact the skyline - for the most part they will be the taller towers but not always
Existing Buildings:
-Ritz Carlton - always stands out for me
-Shangri La - 65 Storeys, has a huge impact on the skyline along University
-Trump - love it or hate it, you definitely notice it
-Four Seasons - tallest tower in Yorkville stands out in a big way - always notice it
-Maple Leaf Square
-College Park Phase 1 & 2
Pending Buildings
-L Tower
-Aura
-10 York
-Theatre Park
-One Bloor
-ICE 1 & 2

I agree with all of these and agree the it would more so be buildings impacting the skyline.
Monde is another building I think will be an architectural masterpiece for TO - and will have a nice impact on the skyline when viewed from the lake.

I like the candy factory as well... I'm also kind of partial to The Tip Top building... 1 King west can't be left out of the mix either... I love the sliver..

To be honest... If you want to talk "significant".. the whole city place complex is pretty nuts... I think that complex has changed the look of downtown from an architectural perspective whether you like it or not...

^^I'd say that for the entire Regent Park regeneration by Daniels. I love what they have done there. Brilliant.

I think the program of the building ties in with the architecture. An architecturally significant building can anchor a neighbourhood. Paintbox atop the Regent Park Arts and Cultural Centre is an example.
