Hey @Vania,
Awesome question.
I go to about 10 of these types of events per week, so I think that I can speak to these the best!
Here is what I find most important:
1. The food... if the food stinks, I will not be happy!
2. Valet parking... every night I am at an event, running all over the city. I want to be able to run in, smooze, and run out. I dont want to spend 20 minutes trying to figure out parking.
3. Something cool! Minto775 had an awesome Canadian rock band, and a wild party! Cityzen had a MASSIVE image of the building rise from the ground.
4. a REAL groundbreaking. I want to see the ground broken!! I do not want to see some people throwing around sand that was placed there.
Things I don't care for:
1. The speeches.. ugh. An other speech about someone talking about how amazing the market it, and how unique the project is. Been there. Done that. Heard that speech by the same person two hours earlier! Speeches are great, but have the architect talk, not the sales agents.
2. a "ceremonial" groundbreaking that does not mean anything.
