Who are the best Realtor Website Providers

Hi there,

I know there have been some discussions regarding the best Realtor websites; however I'm currently researching who to sign up with for website and contact management services.

I'm looking for a company that:
- would allow me to customize my website enough, so it doesn't look like a generic template we often see
- provides contact management services
- contains relevant Canadian data and articles I may use on my website or blog
- offers overall good value

Do any of you bees, buzzers, and babblebees have any tried and tested recommendations?

Thanks!

I have only ever dealt with one provider but am very happy with them.

Real Web Solutions is their name, they do websites, contact management and e-mail blasts all from one back end system.

They offer lots of customization and in my dealing with them have been great on the customer service side as well.

The only downside I have seen so far is that ratehub.ca has not created a widget that works on their system yet.

Cheers,

@Diana: Great question, and one that I would love to hear some answers to!
At BuzzBuzzHome, with the exception of our blog, everything is custom... but, we are not Realtor.
With regards to Realtor websites, I find the templates to be pretty obvious, and not so welcoming. I have yet to see a template that really appealed to me.
Looking forward to hearing what others have to say.

I follow real estate web stuff pretty closely - and the "best" solution depends on your level of expertise. I have never been a fan of templated websites and have never used one, but I would consider myself more than a novice when it comes to web stuff.
For Novices: www.moneymaker4agents.com have a decent platform that allows for some customization but they all look the same to me (example: http://www.mm4a.com/). They have listings on there and they allow you to do some blogs, adjust meta tags and other fun stuff. Richard Silver (president elect of TREB) is a big fan of Moneymaker and openly promotes them (http://www.richardsilver.com/). In terms of what to expect, I know agents who use moneymaker and pull in 6 figures from website alone (high customization, lots of additional advertising etc etc) and I know agents who are lucky to get 6 hits (never touch them etc.).
If you're a little more adventurous then try a Wordpress platform blog. My site (www.talkcondo.com) is on the Wordpress platform but understand that unless you're willing to put the content in, don't waste your time with a Wordpress site. There are hundreds of incomplete Wordpress sites out there that have potential but are a lot of hard work to upkeep. TalkCondo practically owns my life and if I don't update it at least once a day it drives me crazy - but it's not always possible. I see so many blogs out there that have months between postings and it instantly kills the credibility of the site.
