Is there an AmazonGO opening in Toronto?

There is a rumour circulating that AmazonGO is going to be opening a store in Toronto, somewhere along King West.

I would speculate that King Street between Spadina and Bathurst would be the optimal spot for them.

Has anyone heard any gossip???

Don't know what AmazonGO is?? It is a real-world grocery store, where there is no checkout - you have have the app on your phone, and you automatically get charged when you leave. This is being call it: "Just Walk Out Shopping." Brilliant.

According to reports, they plan on opening 2,000 over the next 10 years.

Due to Toronto's size and density, it would be a good choice.

Anyone hear anything??

AmazonGo is a great technology achievement for the internet giant. I recently learned that Microsoft is joining Amazon and Twitter in opening an office in my hometown, Detroit:http://www.whyinvestindetroit.com/2017/01/microsoft-coming-to-downtown-detroit.html

I wish Amazon would open a store here as well!
