What should happen on King Street?

The Toronto Star recently ran an article on the future of King Street, and Jen Keesmaat's idea of making it more pedestrian friendly.

Read it here: http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2016/01/18/plan-in-the-works-to-redesign-king-street-and-quickly-keenan.html

King Street is turning out to be a key street for Toronto, running from the booming Liberty Village, through Freedville, through the core, past some badlands in the East, all the way to the Distillery District.

This street should be Toronto's prized street.

What would you like to see happen with it?

I'd like to see wider sidewalks, a green bikepath, a TTC only lane, and very narrow car lanes.

@Moo Stash, I totally love your vision for: "...wider sidewalks, a green bikepath, a TTC only lane, and very narrow car lanes."

That would be really cool.

I would add in:
- a lot of public art along the strip;
- overhangs from buildings, so it is easier to walk in the winter; and,
- maybe some sections that would be turned 100% pedestrian during weekends in the summer.
