I think the courses hold enough vital information for a person to learn the general idea of how the business works, and as far as getting professional with marketing, internet skills, etc etc etc it really trickles down to the work ethic, and surrounding which the Realtor decides to places him/her self within the first couple of years in the business.
And by surrounding I mean that new agents need to carefully chose the brokerage they would want to go with based on: hands on training provided by the office, quality of support staff, and quality of other agents within the same office as they would be more than happy to show the right way to work within this industry.
All the big players in the industry started somewhat the same way as the once that are starting now, and so I don't think its fair to comment in such fashion towards those who decided to practice Real-Estate today.
