3977 Rainbow is envisioned to provide diversified, missing middle housing forms, providing an alternative to traditional and more costly single-family homes for a broad range of people.
Designed to complement the existing homes found throughout the neighbourhood, the proposed design is a contemporary take on traditional design; front entrances with walkways, gates and front patios are along the Rainbow Street and Sevenoaks Road frontages to provide a vibrant streetscape experience and to complement and enhance the existing neighbourhood. The proposed landscape design for the site will enhance the natural environment and provide an improved streetscape experience.
The design makes a conscious effort to save existing trees around the site. The vegetation on site has been supplemented by species which complement the retained trees and provide wildlife habitat. Adaptable, low maintenance grasses, shrubs, and perennials have been selected to provide gardens with ease of maintenance, soft textures and seasonal interest.
