Located at the footstep of Northeastern University’s south campus and just a short walk to the orange line, this site was once home to Empire Insurance company.
Beginning in the Winter of 2014, Urban Core Development in conjunction with Boston Real Estate Collaborative began the redevelopment of this single story structure into a 6 story building with 16 luxury residential apartments, 1 commercial space and 16 off street parking spaces. This project was completed in the Summer of 2016.
Construction on phase two of this project will begin in the Fall of 2017 and expected to take approximately 15 months. The second phase will be six stories, 31,500sqft and will contain 28 residential units ranging in size from one to four bedrooms. Once complete, 1065 Tremont Street will contain 44 residential apartments and one commercial space.
Designed by Francke|French and built by Haycon Construction, zoning relief and BPDA article 80 small project review were necessary.
