Comments: Genesis homes, where do I start. 5 years ago I purchased my first home with them. 15 Eaton park lane. I purchased this builder 5 years ago and little did I know the amount of time that it took to complete was nothing I had imagined. I was told delays are common with new built and I have experienced 3 delays before I took possession of the house. After 5 years I was finally scheduled for a pdi and little did I know my first home became my nightmare. The pdi that was scheduled was on Aug 19z 2019, up until today the pdi that was noted in Aug has not been completed. I have decided to rent it out because I don't have a need for that place currently after 5 months in, my ceiling collapsed because of the water Leake from the above unit. I was scared, panicked didn't know what to do. I had to contact genesis homes, and after 2 weeks the hole in my ceiling they have decided to come n fix it. I don't know a lot about construction but within that 2 weeks I have asked around and experts constru

Negatives: Garbage & debris at the back of the housse need to be cleaned
Comments: Luckily my unit has not much big issue. I moved in in July, 2019 and recently I send them email to do the follow up. Didn't expect Lesley responded me at the same day and confirmed to send the serviceman the next day. Truthfully the servicemen who work on my unit are all helpful, skillful and neat. They even do more than I expect.

Negatives: This builder does not seem to care one bit about you. No matter how many times you try to contact them, they will not respond in any reasonable amount of time.
Comments: The lay out of the unit is great that's something positive I can say. However the build quality is poor at best. There are over 100 dry wall issues in my unit that makes in impossible for me to live in. Unfinished walls still exist even after occupancy. Toilets that do not flush and missing cabinets doors, shelves etc. My stairs are not even properly secured to the floor and can actually shift if you step on it. They even tried to cover a gap in the step with just carpet. It's been almost 60 days since my occupancy and they have not fixed one thing in my unit. Prior to my PDI, one of the workers decided to have explosive diarrhea in my toilet and left the mess uncleaned. This is the kind of quality you can expect with Genesis homes, It has been a nightmare for me.

Comments: It’s been over a year since we’ve moved into our home. Outside of some of the minor deficiencies that were reported and corrected we noticed that one of our exterior doors had lost its weather strip and we were concerned about leaking air and our monthly energy bills. Our front door just didnt operate properly. My husband isn’t handy at all so I emailed Genesis and they actually sent someone in the following day! I know it’s such a minor fix but I was really pleased with their willingness to help. Thanks

Comments: When we moved into our home last month there were some issues that needed to be dealt with. I was pretty concerned that everything wasn’t ready for us when we moved in. I got in touch with Genesis and one of the owners of the company ended up calling me back to explain things. I was SO impressed that he was dealing with my issues and although it took a little time he made sure everything got worked. Thank you Lesley in customer service for taking care of things!
