Ha! It's funny you ask this - it's a development very close to my parents house and looks very interesting. I've been trying to get some information on this development and it boggles my mind how difficult it is to get real information on low-rise developments in the 'burbs.

They were originally shooting for a Fall 2012 launch, but now it is looking like it will instead be sometime in the summer.
@Roy - funny, my parents are right in that area too. Seeing a tonne of building activity in the Eglinton/Winston Churchill area.

This project looks very exciting because it backs onto the wooded area. I snapped a picture with my cell of the site plan and I'm very surprised that they are putting semi-detached homes along the green space and not detached .....
(how do I upload pics? I'll share it on here....)

Churchill Woods Construction Timeline
Construction has begun on the new development east of Tenth Line between Tacc Drive and Thomas Street called Churchill Woods. The project will include the addition of 475 new dwellings, a mix of detached, semi-detached and townhomes clustered in a beautiful new neighbourhood south of the existing woodlot. Homes will be built by Greenpark and Starlane. McCracken Park will be doubled in size.
Here is some info i found online
The developer has provided the following timeline for the construction project (subject to change):
April 2012 - leveling of the land
May 2012 - sewers installed
Late Summer 2012 - Grand Opening of Sales Office (off Tenth Line)
September 2012 - Streets paved
November 2012 - Construction on first homes begins

So...I pass by the sale office and looks like they launched the homes this weekend and the homes are selling like there is NO tomorrow ... How do I get in ? anyone ..?

hey guys just talked to a customer leaving the sale office. He told me that the town homes starting from 550K. It would be out of reach for most people.

Unfortunately you would think it's out of reach but this will all be sold. My buddy makes 48k/year but apparently he bought a semi for 600k ... this place is nuts but I guess its worthed!!

all the semis/townhomes facing the forest are sold out. It makes sense because that is a great view. I don't think other houses will sell that fast.

Prices are starting from $532,900.00 for towns but they are over 2000sqft and up. one town was over 2,700 sqft. The semi's are large too well into the 2000 sqft range. being that they are mostly 4 bedroom layout, its great for an expanding family without breaking the bank of having to go into a detached in the 700and 800's

Units with 3 bedrooms starting at price $529,900 with 1915 square feet.

All the homes are close to selling out with only a few left. if you thought that was high, there are ppls out there that didn't even get a invitation or too late to purchase a home. price jump up by 10k recently.
