Holy big transaction!

According to Rob Love at Realnet:

"Metrus just bought 191 acres at $175M. This will be a HUGE low rise development located on the northwest corner of Major Mackenzie Drive West and Bathurst Street."

Just how big is this?!? Rob further states: "this is the largest land transaction we've ever recorded (by dollar volume)".

Low rise development, huh? So, more sprawl for the suburbs! Lemme guess; a nice big box development mixed in there with Walmart as an anchor?

There is no doubt in my mind that the Greenbelt is having a major impact, forcing the land prices upwards.

Lets hope is makes for a more dense development that just BOS (Big Ol'Sprawl).

Finally Helmhorst sold this off. I always anticipated Metrus to purchase this property. Last time I remember this was 900 lots + some commercial.
