Has anyone tried it? How far did you get?

It's a good product to get fit quick. Then again, as long as you're doing something regularly, you will get quite fit. Unfortunately, the problem I find with P90x is that its provides more of a temporary, quick fix for many. Long sustainability is diminished for most, likely because of the intensity.

I got about 70 days in and fell off the wagon after going on vacation for a week. I desperately want to start up again but I can't help but recall the pain associated with the first two weeks.

Kind of tough to do in a condo living room.

@Nicholas Gavey ...how much room is needed for it?

I did it in my bed room. You need about a 10'x10' room at least.

@Maxwell Schwartz where do you live that you have an extra 10x10 in your bedroom to be able to move around? LOL :-)

@Matthew Slutsky I've only tried it once in my condo and even after moving the coffee table, etc I still felt a little cramped. Although I have seen people take their laptop or portable DVD player down to our gym and do it in the yoga room. Although I guess you'll have plenty of space now with that new home I saw features in Toronto Life (congrats btw) :-)

@Nicholas Gavey ...thanks! I have no desire for P90x, so I will not be worrying about where to try it! But, I do need a good gym near Liberty Village.....

@Nicholas Gavey Really you only need about 5'x10 so having a bed in the room isnt really a problem

@Aaron Mohammed It is my personal opinion that good life sucks...We must aspire to better things for our master.

@Aaron Mohammed, @Matthew Slutsky, @Maxwell Schwartz HEY! There are a few things that are REALLY awesome about GoodLife

1. It's the closest place to the BuzzBuzzHome office to work out.
2. It's the closest place to most places I am where I can work out (since you can go to any location).
3. It's better than other gym chains like Extreme Fitness which make me feel like I might get attacked by a testosterone infused jerk when I walk in the door.
4. It's clean.
5. It does have the best Yelp rating of any gym in Liberty Village, so really, it's the best there is!
6. It's easy on your wallet, I'm still grandfathered at my $60/month student rate which isn't bad at all. The only cheaper places I could find were in the place in the basement of Dufferin Mall (#Nothappening) or the YMCA.

@Kiyoko Fujimura FTW! Ok I'll give you all those points except one...I've been a member at extreme and good-life and the locker rooms and amenities are extreme are much cleaner and more contemporary.

@Matthew Slutsky I think we have found a gap in the market for this area. Perhaps we should open a gym - BuzzBuzzFitness

Best steam room in the city - Yorkville Gym - but it's being moved out by equinox.

@Maxwell Schwartz i went to equinox bay today to do some Movement Haus reconnaissance. I'll be a decent membership-based 'gym'. 35,000 sqft, 2 floors with all the usual accoutrements.

anyone looking for a great workout with limited equipment/space, purchase a TRX kit.

@Matthew Slutsky what about King West fitness in Liberty?  what kind of workout are you looking for, group classes (spin) or simple strength?

yes, BuzzBuzzFitness sounds good!

Mark: if you know anything about the Yorkville Equinox, share it here:http://www.buzzbuzzhome.com/chat/general-chit-chat/1252/equinox-at-yorkville-club---a-little-bird-told-me

Regarding fitness, I need:
1. A clean gym;
2. Lockers, with cleaning service
3. Lots of awesome elliptical machines
4. A top notch steam room

@Matthew Slutsky sounds like you may need to consider the Adelaide Club :-)

The Goodlife at 8 Park used to be pretty good. I was a member back when it was Sports Club and it has a nice steam room. Sadly though that's not very close to Liberty Village.

Matt: nothing so far about Yorkville - although, I wonder if it's going into a condo development on Bloor...
